本期介绍的是英文商务合同的词汇特征，主要分为六大类，具体请往下看哦~
1.使用古体词（ArchaicWords）
E.g.
1)Thisagreementshallbeginonthedatehereofandshallcontinuefor5yearsthereafter.
2)Intheeventofthedeathofanypartner,thispartnershipshallnotbetherebydissolved.
Examples:
1.Hewillbefined$25ifhedoesn’tpaythebillforthwith.
2.Weherebyagreetotheconditionsofthiscontract.
Examples:
PartyA:ChinaMobileCommunicationsCorporation(thereinafter/hereinafterreferredtoasCMCC)
PartyB:AmericanTelephoneandTelegraph
(thereinafter/hereinafterreferredtoasATT)
注：此处thereinafter/hereinafter译为“以下简称”。
Example:
Whereasthefollowingincidentshaveoccurred,bothpartiesshallmakenecessaryarrangementstoresolvetheproblemsbynegotiations.
2.使用外来词（LoanWords）
3.选词正式（FormalWords）
示例
AnyeventorcircumstancebeyondthecontrolofthePartiesshallbedeemedaneventofforcemajeureandshallinclude,butnotberestrictedtofire,storm,flood,earthquake,explosion,war,rebellion,insurrection,epidemicandquarantinerestriction.
译文：双方如遇有无法控制的事件或情况应视为不可抗力事件，应当包括但不限于火灾、风灾、水灾、地震、爆炸、战争、叛乱、暴动、传染病
及检疫限制。
4.多用专业术语（Terminology）
5.常用并列结构（Coordination）
并列句通常由“and”连接前后两个意义相近或类似的语言成分，句子结构简洁而紧凑，表达句意客观平实、一目了然，有助于凸显和强调主题。
E.g.
1.ThisagreementismadeandenteredintobyandbetweenPartyAandPartyB.
译文：本协议由甲方和乙方共同制定。
2.Thebuyerisableandwillingtopaythecostsandchargesinthetransportandsaleofgoods.
译文：买方愿意承担货物运输和销售中的成本及费用。

情态动词may,shall,must,may/shallnot的使用

译文：本意向书为保密文件。除了本意向书双方及其雇员、律师和会计师之外，任何一方不得向任何其他第三方透露。
?Theshippershallbeliableforalldamagecausedbysuchgoodstotheshipandcargoonboard.
译文：如果上述货物对船舶和船上其他货物造成损失,托运商应负全责。
注：由于情态动词shall的情态值居中，比较客观，所以英文商务合同中shall使用的频率最高。
